And Why London Needs It\nLondon is one of the most vibrant cities in the world\, yet many of us feel disconnected\, overstimulated\, and yearning for genuine human connection. \nConnectival\, created and hosted by Ecstatic Dance London in collaboration with guest facilitators\, is a response to that need. \nThis gathering (we plan to run this every month) offers practical tools for connection that you can take into everyday life through movement\, presence\, and authentic conversation. These practices foster deeper relationships with yourself and with others\, particularly in a fast-paced city environment. \nHeld just after Valentine’s Day\, Connectival widens the idea of love beyond romance into something more human and sustainable. Connection\, community\, expression\, presence\, and belonging. \nConnectival is rooted in consent\, inclusivity\, embodied awareness\, and respect for boundaries. \nThis is a space to feel safe\, welcome\, and human. \nIn a city that rarely slows down\, Connectival is an invitation to pause\, move\, and reconnect with yourself and with others. \nWhat Is Connectival?\nConnectival is a half-day embodied connection gathering bringing together: \n• Guided embodiment and connection practices\n• Authentic relating and verbal connection tools\n• An extended ecstatic dance journey hosted by Ecstatic Dance London\n• Sound journey for integration\n• Spacious time to connect\, rest\, or simply be \nAll held in a warm\, consent-led\, agreements-based\, connection-positive environment. \nYou are welcome to come alone\, with friends\, or with a partner. \nBOOK HERE: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1981004496777?\nThe Journey & Schedule:\n3:00–3:30pm | Arrival and Landing\nDoors open\, arrival\, and settling into the space. \n-Upstairs\nLAND & GROUND: Non-verbal dance/ movement space – feel free to come stretch\, move\, sit in meditation\, do yoga\, or just lie on the ground and let the music wash over you. \n-Downstairs\nHANG OUT & CHAT: Space to leave bags/ jackets. We talk through the agreements\, offer a consent-based mini-workshop and answer any questions. \n4:40–5:40pm | Parallel Connection Workshops with guest facilitators TBC\nFacilitated by experienced guest facilitators\, to be announced. \n-Upstairs\nAn embodied connection workshop exploring presence\, awareness\, and connection through movement. This is one of the very few spaces where Londoners can go out dancing in London in a safe and clean sober space. Please respect this\, and please don’t come drunk or high as you will be refused entry or asked to leave. No refunds!*** \n📌Dancers enter at their own risk. Ecstatic Dance London accepts no responsibility for spontaneous joy\, open-heartedness or sore cheeks from too much smiling (we also accept no liability or responsibility for any injury\, loss or damage). \nPRACTICE SPECIFICS: Warm-up: stretch\, move/dance and reflect on the intention for the dance to a gentle sound wave. The Practice: freestyle dancing to a large sound wave featuring Live DJ set. Some guidance & facilitation will be provided. And then we will let the music\, the community and our own inner space direct our steps\, our movements\, our expression\, our journey. Relaxation: Ecstatic Dance usually ends with a deep relaxation.
