**Dishes Help: As part of our shared community experience, we ask each participant to take one turn helping with washing up after a meal either at lunch or dinner, there will be assigned schedule for this. A small act of care that keeps our space nourishing for everyone.

PLEASE NOTE: this is just an example schedule, all workshops and timings might change slightly as we want to offer some flexibility with the schedule.

All meals (3 meals per day, total 12 meals OR for weekend ticket holders 6 meals). During the festival, we all eat together (breakfast/ lunch/ dinner). Venue runs a vegetarian/vegan kitchen and does its best to meet the most common food requirements for guests such as gluten free/ lactose free/ vegan and all dishes will be clearly labelled. Venue might not be able to cater for other special diets.
All saunas (7x sessions), small sauna towels will be provided.
Unlimited teas/coffees, accessible anytime in the main house.

Open to all adults (18+)
No prior experience required. We welcome beginners and more experienced explorers.
Ideal for lovers of ecstatic dance, wellness festivals, embodiment, yoga, music, and nature
This year’s festival is not suitable for under-18s
No dogs or other pets permitted on site (except for guide dogs)

PHOTOGRAPHY/ VIDEO NOTICE

We live in the age of social media and so to capture our alcohol and drug free festival, we want to share to the world that we can have a great time without intoxicants. We will be photographing and videoing some parts this festival. We thank you in advance for accepting this fact. Our media team, will of course be sensitive, and will only use the best shots of you.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We offer this festival in order to support the growth of physical and mental wellness of attendees and it requires many hours of organisation and planning. We ensure we have sufficient funds to do this with the following policy:

– Participants join the retreat at their own risk. Ecstatic Dance Festival accepts no responsibility for spontaneous joy, open-heartedness or sore cheeks from too much smiling.

CANCELLATION BY ATTENDEES:

-All festival tickets are non-refundable. If you cannot attend the festival due to any reason or personal matter including covid, we will not be able to issue a retreat ticket refund, sorry.

-You are welcome to pass on your festival ticket to a friend, colleague or family member, resell your ticket or consider gifting your place to someone, there are many people in our network who do not have the funds to attend such a festival. Please let us know name and email address of the person attending in your place by sending us an email with replacement person’s details to so we can transfer the ticket in their name.

An all-day gathering for the London Ecstatic Dance community! Whether you are first timer or a seasoned dancer, all are welcome! An ecstatic experience of embodiment with two Legendary DJ/producers from the states: SCOTT NICE & YEMANJO! Plus dance warm up, cacao, guided meditation and yoga!

You are warmly invited to join us for a taste of Ecstatic Dance Festival in London before our annual epic Ecstatic Dance Festival® UK in Dorset, Wed 26 July – Sun, 30 July. Both Scott & Yemanjo are performing at the 1 day festival in London and the main 4 day festival in Dorset, come along!

We wanted to offer a little glimpse of the festival to Londoners who are unable to commit to the whole 4-day festival in Dorset.. Come to Dance, Move, Connect, Release, Meditate & Celebrate with us!

Our Raw Vegan Cacao is prepared lovingly by Diana (who makes the best cacao in town for sure!). She uses ethically sourced, highest quality ingredients from Guatemala, directly from a reliable cacao bean farmer.

YOGA PRACTICE , VINYASA FLOW – GEORGIE HARE

Warming up your muscles before the ecstatic dance maximizes blood flow and prepares your joints for movement, increasing the benefits of your practice and reducing your likelihood of injury. Yoga practice before the dance also allows you to renew your awareness of your body and connect with your breath.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga: All levels are welcome to Georgie’s Vinyasa Flow style yoga class. Here you can explore your body and give appreciation for your own personal journey, all in a safe space without judgement. Expect her classes to work up a burn, encouraged by good tunes, focused on increasing strength in the middle, with a deep restorative stretch at the end. Ideal for those who have a basic understanding of yoga and want to progress their abilities with a slight challenge, or perhaps for the more experienced student who wants to enjoy a flow with various options for more challenging variations.

♥ Georgie is a fully YAI qualified and insured yoga instructor as well as a professional dancer. Having studied yoga for over 5 years, Georgie swears by the life changing benefits of a regular practise, which teaches us to listen to our bodies and self-reflect. Teaching us to listen to our bodies and self-reflect, Georgie guides you through a flow that works on both strength building and restorative stretching. Encouraging you to move intuitively and be kind to yourself. You can find her teaching regular classes in London, as well as events, festivals and retreats, across the UK and abroad. She will also be joining us at the Ecstatic Dance Festival UK in Dorset!

ECSTATIC DANCE – SCOTT NICE (DJ & PRODUCER)

World sounds soar over lush hip-hop beats as Scott merges electronic with acoustic dipping into Afro-Latin, tropical and middle eastern sounds in the process. Scott’s roots in Turntablism and Hip-Hop shine with his remix/mash-ups of classic tunes accompanied by live scratching to create a one-of-a-kind sonic journey.

Since 2016 Scott has released 6 full-length albums and countless remixes working with many amazing collaborators such as The Polish Ambassador, Liquid Bloom, Poranguí, Alex Serra, Wildlight, El Buho, Mose, Ayla Nereo, Uji, Yemanjo, Volo, DJ Taz Rashid, Equanimous, and many more.

Informed by his personal healing journey, Northern California producer Scott Nice brings a union of electronic and acoustic sounds to both move the body and feed the soul. World prayers, flute, and hand drum samples are a hallmark of Scott’s sound while the juxtaposition of his hip-hop turntablist roots create a unique dance journey.

ECSTATIC DANCE – YEMANJO (DJ & PRODUCER)

Yemanjo is a project of producer, DJ, and singer/multi-instrumentalist Ben Harris. Born and raised in the rich cultural stew of California’s Bay Area, Harris has called Lake Atitlan, Guatemala home since 2016. His original music is a polyrhythmic concoction of downtempo/ethnic house beats blended with traditional instruments and tribal chants from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East-influences drawn from Harris’ near-constant world travels.

Yemanjo’s all-original live set is a singular fusion of hard-hitting electronic beats with organic instrumentation and singing in multiple languages. He will be joined this evening by Nate Levin, an SF-based musician, producer and live looping artist specializing in multiple exotic world instruments.

Yemanjo is an embodiment of the ancient concept of “music as medicine”, and brings an intention of healing and transformation to every production and live set.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

1. Please come already dressed in comfortable clothing suitable for movement/fitness and dress in layers. Bring a set of dry clothes/small towel as you will probably get sweaty during the session. Toilets are available at the venue but there are no separate changing rooms.

2. We dance barefoot, in soft indoor shoes or grip socks.

3. a Reusable water bottle. Tap water & lemon water refill available at the venue.

4. Packed Food/ Snacks to have during the breaks, complimentary tea/coffee will be available. There are plenty of shops and cafes nearby.

5. For Yoga practice – please bring a mat.

2 minutes walk from Tufnell Park station (Exact venue details will be in your order confirmation email! Please scroll down in the email to see all details!)

-Nearest station is Tufnell Park. 2 min walk from the station. Please check tfl.gov for latest travel updates.

-If you are driving, please be aware that the venue is in an Ultra Low Emission Zone and you may be liable to pay the daily fee.

-Find parking on parkopedia and use venues postcode. There is no parking at the venue.

-There are bicycle racks at the venue to lock your bike if you are cycling.

-Venue is accessible to wheelchair users.

-Toilets are available at the venue.

Cancellation by the Artist – In the highly unlikely event that the Artist is unable to fulfil the engagement due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, the organizer will make reasonable efforts to find suitable substitute performers under such circumstances.

Cancellation by Organizer – In the highly unlikely event that we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, we will issue a full refund and will notify all attendees as soon as possible.
